When T-Ray spoke saying "Not Likely" he was referring to his comment that "beta is possible this month " would calm the crazy in us if we knew that beta could happen this month.
So technically it still is possible for beta to be this week or next...maybe not likely...but possible :0) |

My feeling is that no one there (SOE) really knows exactly when the beta will start...they most likely have a list of bugs to fix before the beta can start. And if you ever tried to fix bugs in SW, fixing bugs usually leads to finding more bugs. Once all the bugs from the list is complete, then I believe it will be time to announce the start of closed beta

I really don't believe they know when they will open beta. They want a flexible schedule because they don't want the make promises they may or may not keep. Again, they are afraid of what we might do if they failed that promise. I can understand that.
