Oracle of Death, lets talk tanks:
Test 1. P2-120 HEAT versus Titan-150 HEAT versus Supernova PC Test 2. P2-120 AP versus Titan-150 AP versus Supernova FPC Test 3. P2-120 HE versus Titan-150 HE versus Supernova VPC Quite cheeky in asking for a lot I realise. If you can only do one then the default weapons (Test 1.) Thanks and nice work

The MBT gun comparison was totally gonna be my next pull.
Oracle's resting right now - EU prime time is actually faster than ours and some performance assumptions I made on the collector went up in flame around lunch. I really want to tune it up without resorting to upscaling the hardware, since once it's running for real I won't be able to interrupt collection for an entire day to tune the SQL. So - no new data for about 6 hours. I will, on the other hand, run that one with what I have right now. Sit tight! And, results! Yes, I double-checked. Sorted by kpu. Code:
id 3700 Titan 150 HEAT HEAT (or equiv.) === id 4000 P2-120 HEAT 50,606 Kills 6,278 Unique Killers 8.06 kpu id 3400 Supernova PC 28,452 Kills 4,677 Unique Killers 6.08 kpu id 3700 Titan 150 HEAT 26,377 Kills 4,997 Unique Killers 5.28 kpu AP (or equiv.) ==== id 4008 P2-120 AP 11,429 Kills 1,123 Unique Killers 10.18 kpu id 3460 Supernova FPC 6,959 Kills 823 Unique Killers 8.46 kpu id 3730 Titan-150 AP 9,839 Kills 1,242 Unique Killers 7.92 kpu HE (or equiv.) === id 4009 P2-120 HE 10,239 Kills 606 Unique Killers 16.89 kpu id 3461 Supernova VPC 7,386 Kills 612 Unique Killers 12.07 kpu id 3731 Titan-150 HE 4,054 Kills 435 Unique Killers 9.32 kpu Last edited by maradine; 2013-08-08 at 06:01 PM. |

The Oracle: now 3x faster than she was this morning. Built to handle the utter carnage of EU prime time. Getting through the backlog -

First let me order them by faction. It makes things readable and much faster to find. Code:
NC Scatter- 24,731 Kills 5,036 Unique Killers 4.9 kpu Mattock- 5,728 Kills 346 Unique Killers 16.56 kpu Grinder- 9,610 Kills 792 Unique Killers 12.13 kpu Hacksaw- 19,281 Kills 1,224 Unique Killers 15.75 kpu =========== TR Heavy C- 22,592 Kills 5,275 Unique Killers 4.28 kpu Mercy- 20,399 Kills 1,587 Unique Killers 12.85 kpu Mutilator- 14,659 Kills 1,311 Unique Killers 11.18 kpu Onslaught- 5,361 Kills 426 Unique Killers 12.58 kpu =========== VS Quasar- 31,350 Kills 6,125 Unique Killers 5.12 kpu Blueshift- 24,630 Kills 1,420 Unique Killers 17.35 kpu Cosmos- 16,335 Kills 1,256 Unique Killers 13.00 kpu Nebula- 11,423 Kills 683 Unique Killers 16.72 kpu === Next is total kills. Damn are these numbers another story from kpu. Mattocks and Onslaughts are just shit with only 5k kills when everything else is at least 2 times that number but for grinders. Then you have Quasars on top with 31k kills. 7k over 2nd place of 24k, just under a 1/3 better, and Quasars have over 5 times the kills of last place! === Finally we have unique killers. This one is a bit harder to read for me without pulling them out and putting them next to each other. With pure totals you should see around 2 times the number of players that killed with MAX AI weapons (2 weapons for each player). So for just totals you have NC-7,398, TR-8,599, VS-9,484 That's telling me that VS is by FAR using the most MAXes and NC is pulling the least for AI work. NC is behind by over a thousand to TR and TR is behind by almost 900 to VS. You have to remember that this is for both arms and you need to cut the totals in half for AI MAXes getting kills but even then the story is the same with NC having the least MAXes, TR in the middle, and VS with the most by a large number. Im not even going to get into how I make for 2 of the 346 of the Mattock users. It is just sad to see such a great weapon being so under used. === Using all 3 data points. I can't say much on on everything as a whole now and need more time thinking it over. VS still looks to have the best AI MAX but without having time to think things over and letting it sink in I can't give a good idea yet on how good they are. Id need to see a lot more of these things to get a full picture of MAXes as a class. Can't wait to get my hands on this gold mine myself. |

I guess everyone is going to draw their own conclusions from the data...
Overall, I see very negative data from an NC perspective... and the data looks about how it feels in-game, too. VS seems silly OP. * My take on the AI MAX situation: If each was rated 1-5 for long-range and short-range combat... it would go like this NC-short = 5 VS-short = 4.5 TR-short = 3 NC-long = 1 VS-long = 5 TR-long = 3 Last edited by typhaon; 2013-08-09 at 12:13 AM. |

If I had to draw conclusions from what I've pulled so far, it'd be that TR has some massive advantages, VS has a few useful gems, and NC is left holding the bag. That said, there are plenty more things to examine, and I'm hoping that as we look at more situations, everyone gets some love in different places.
I'd also like to thank everyone for not using this thread to dive into the various arguments that generally accompany these topics. I do encourage discussions and suggestions on getting more interesting data, however. |
