Well, the first externals did get to play the game then in the form of tech test. However I think "we agreed on" beta, which they have clearly stated this is not.

Usually idiots jump on comments like that in a heart beat and use it to hurt the image of the company, especially over a sensitive issue like test invites.

Exclusive early access (aka test invites) is super serious business for some people, unfortunately. They just gotta feel superior to someone else in some way.

Oh I wouldn't be surprised to see someone use the quote incorrectly. Lots of people looking for any scrap of evidence they can find.

But I've also seen enough humanity to know everyone else won't pass on an opportunity to play "Mock the Fool".
