Haha, tho I get what you're saying, been a vet a long time but didn't go for CR, so it's about play style. I think you should be able to keep your outfit name tho.

I just want to keep my Planetside Universe Mobilization Alpha (PSUMA) badge...

One of just a dozen or so that spent a weekend in Orlando with Hamma and Jennyboo going on rides and having meetings with PS Devs! I remember it fondly (except maybe for the Beverly!)

There was a picture of me posted after PSUMA with me basically dry-wretching after a cup of that stuff.

Any business worth it's salt will always reward loyal returning customers. Simply making a new product available is not a reward.

Providing a service such as name reservation and perhaps some sort of cosmetic such as a merit is the least they should do. The should NOT provide anything exclusive in the flavour of weapons or armour that cannot be earned through resources/xp.

Name reservation should be server based not global.

So for all those bitching... if there are 4+ euro servers and 8+ U.S server what do you really have to complain about?

VET's have handed over $100's to $1000's for a game which for the past 6 years has had no development, no support, full of hackers, bad pings. So despite massive and overwhelming competition for our time and most importantly money we VET's have stayed loyal. (personally i have played for perhaps 60hrs in the past 4 years, but SOE have still been getting their $ from me and i have 2 accounts).

Do i feel entitled? not really, do i want a reward? of course.

I run a business and i reward my loyal and repeat customers as a result they recommend me. It is in my experience the only way to have a successful business.

You believe you have a right to a reward simply because you payed to play a different game, just because it was a chore to you doesn't change that. This is what entitlement means.

You can't even say you did it to stay loyal. Loyal to what, SOE? Then why do you trash them and Planetside? Loyal to the PS community? Why should SOE reward you for that?

If SOE is going to give out rewards, then it should be on their terms and by what they feel is right, not dictated by some vet circlejerk.

Especially under the guise of "We payed our money for PS1!" like you didn't already get your moneys worth.

So by your definition a customer who hands over $x repeatedly for years is not a loyal customer?

As for why they should reward the VET's, I believe I answered that.

Also yes I think SOE have some bridges to mend and I feel they know this (see smedley stating BFR's will not feature)

Also this is a sequel to the product that has been loyally subscribed to and will be out of production/use come the release of the new and improved product. We are not asking for a reward for playing a different game like........ DCUO

And you will, I don't doubt that. But if SOE doesn't give what players here are requesting "At a minimum" then the developers will come off as the bad guys. Its one thing to want a gift but another to expect one. Its like a kid telling his parents what to get him for christmas, rather than asking.

He's saying that he would appreciate and enjoy getting some kind of reward, but that he doesn't feel like the devs are under any kind of obligation to provide one.
