I think its better. Instead of being able to drop anywhere on the continent, now only the side with the continent lock has to watch the warp gate. Its better!!!

I have to say that disallowing HART drops is DEFINITELY preferable to disallowing warp gate use.

You probably wouldn't see it as much now, but the HART drops allows for an insane amount of zerging -- people can drop in by the hundreds, onto one spot. Now, they have to suit up, get a transport and other vehicles -- and the enemy knows where they will be appearing.

I think that would actually be more balanced. But . . . um, did you say that right now there is NO effect?

That kind of sucks.

I thought HARTS had semi-limited capacity and scheduled launch times. Maybe they changed that and I missed it.

Nah man that encourages HART drop Zerging . . .

In fact, they shouldn't be able to HART drop, plus if there are multiple warpgates enemies should only be able to enter from one of them? What do you think?

I think that might be cool just because right now, 'enemy territory' seems sort of vague -- it seems like even if an enemy owns 99% of a continent, you can generally travel pretty much at will -- which is a good thing, but it means that you can take a base on the other side of the map as easily as the one next door. Well, with only one functioning Warp Gate, the team that locked the continent could focus their defense near the warpgate and near the bases closest to that gate. After all, easy as it is to take a base right now, a continent lock might be broken waaay to quickly to be worth the effort.

Well, i'm guessing that "enemy territory" will be much more hostile once all the open beta people get on.

One minute, how does limited capacity encourage Zerg tactics? I just checked the screens a few days ago, and I saw one of the underside of a HART. It had all the pods stored semi-externally. I think there were 8-10 pods on a HART.

Takes people up for the orbital drop. Automated, invincible since it's only in Santuary. No piloting it, no killing it, sorry.

False, they changed the continent lockdown criteria. You now need to enter through warpgates, not via drop pods.

As of right now there are no other real incentives, yet
what!?!? thatsbull, now its like never gona get continent lock! tell them to change it back!

ps-how many ppl are alowed in a HART?

Can you put max units in the HART? If you could I would think you could just load it up with MAXes and a few hackers. "Liberate" a base on the continent and then bring vehicles in through the warpgate to liberate some other bases.

It would be cool if when you got continent lock all your factions players got a 5 or 10 percent attack power bonus while on that continent, or maybe 5 or 10 percent more hitpoints. There has to be some kind of incentive otherwise it's not worth the effort.

in my opinion (read worthless) I reckon they should bring back the warpgate lock - and re-enable the HART - except certain problems face the HART, for example there should be concentric rings in a locked continent that has a risk factor of trying to drop.

So the centre/sanctuary areas would have say 75% failure rate of the HART making it through (orbital defense????) but around the outside of the continent, near the edge of the land mass it reduces to 10% risk or even 0% risk, then there would be regular concentric rings increasing in the risk factor, then you wouldnt have hoardes jumping into the middle of an unguarded area, but perhaps one team may get through to hack a base long enough to remove the lock?

stupid idea though I imagine
