I would hardly call that an announcement. This was mentioned in a couple of interviews, it was never really announced and it still meant nothing other than beta would be starting "soon". We were told that there would be a big announcement and there never was one

I'd bet there is no announcement next week and this time next friday we'll be asking, "hey Smed, what happened to that announcement?" Then RadarX will come on here and remind us "Soon".

They do this crap on all their titles, and then they wonder why very few people showed any interest in their wares at E3.

Well except for the mob of people around the booth, and the loads of media awards they won or at least were nominated for. But yeah, only a few people noticed.

This game's been getting no press compared to the rest of the E3 titles, especially for what it deserves. It's barely been making a dent in most general gaming forums *Planetside 2 specific forums don't count*

Most people still haven't even heard of it, or immediately go "SOE game? LOL, wutever."

Why wouldn't it? Its the only next big step for Planetside. Unless they announce that it's now in Late Alpha. ._.
