Ok ill put it in lamens terms for you (or was my first post lamens terms? I'm not sure haha!).
Planetside was a game where you could team up or go solo and enjoy a full scaled war. You had choices in the persistent world do do what "you" wanted. You didn't even have to fight if you didn't feel like it. You could just jump in a harraser and drive of for a look about. And more often than not you would run into somebody either friendly or an enemy. There was allays that chance.
Planetside 2 is going to offer you the exact same experiences in that respect. Ok it may change in am lot of other areas, but its will still have the same outfits, lone wolves and squads Planetside 1 had. And all in a persistent world, with guns, and no AI, only real people fighting the war once again, squad-ding up, making outfits and bringing all out war to the other 2 empires!
We know what we know, but there are some things SOE cant change and that is us the gamers, we are the ones that can make or break a game.
Its up to every one of the gamers here to make it what they want it to be. Through feedback in beta and making the most of whatever this game ends up being, for all we know this game is going to be a massive flop, but on the flip side it could be the biggest thing since wow!
We have more control than you think.
