I'm going to try this game out while it's free this weekend on Steam and on sale for about $2.50. I was just seeing if anyone wanted to join in. In case you don't know what it is, it is a fps tower defense game that allows for 4 person co-op and looks decently stylized.

Looks pretty cool... I'll probably try it when I get back home. Never hurts to try a unique game.

I'm downloading it now to try it out. If it's cool, $7.49 for 4 copies is a good enough deal for me.

Sanctum is good fun. As Purple said, it's not going to blow you away and take over your life like some sort of epic MMOFPS sequel, but it's a steal at that price for a quick blast once in a while.

Tried it last time it was free. It's a good game, I recommend it (along with Defense Grid, if tower defense is your sort of thing).

Re: Sanctum

If you like tower defense, sanctum is great fun.

I play with my brother & friends in California, and I have about 63 hours played already. We only bought the DLC maps last night.

Replayability comes in the form of coming up with new maze schemes, using different towers, and playing different game modes.

It's good as just a kick back & relax type of game too, as there's unlimited build time in between waves in most of the game modes, so if you wanted to, you could just leave it running on your system forever & come back when you like. I've gotten a survival map up to wave 77 this way, but I've seen games online at wave 90+.

Considering everybody here is already comfortable with FPS games, for 75% off, I would definitely recommend this to everyone to try.

If you like this, definitely try out Orcs Must Die. Same premise, FPSTD, but a lot more fun imo. Sadly not Co-op, though OMD2 will be.

Sanctum I was not impressed with. Went a bit crazy with hitpoints on the enemies.

Also be sure to find the secret areas in the zones.

I absolutely love Sanctum.
Futuristic tower defense, tons of upgrades and innovative towers?
Amazing.

I have three brothers, so I love trying out co-op games. I've had Sanctum for a while, and it's just so great to play with my bros.
