I've been watching these Planetside 2 videos for a while, and something just dawned on me. Where are all of the doors? Normally in order to enter an enemy base you would have to hack open the door. Now that anyone can capture bases, I assume anyone could open doors too. I just hope that infiltrators can capture bases quicker, as well as open doors quicker if there are any.

True, didnt think about this till now.
This might sound silly, but I always felt cool when like.. one guy is next to the door on the right hacking the door open while the others are aiming ready at the door, ready to breach in. It gave that cool tacticool feeling |

You see what happened was there were doors... but each faction sprinkled all of Auraxis with anti door nanites which ate them all and prevent doors from ever being built.
They did that because too many of their spec ops units were getting shot out when entering bases because even while in cloak, a door would open when they passed by it. So naturally to keep cloaks viable, doors had to go. |

Mechanical open / close doors are more moving parts. As we seen in PS1, doors being open for some and closed for others means some players are vulnerable while others are safe from fire. I think the PS2 team wants to avoid those issues on PS2.
