Damn the TR MAX sure looks frightening. It perfectly suits the "military tyrrany" thing!

NC MAX is awesome, very utilitarian, and it really looks like a guy shielded in a big armor.

VS MAX...? It looks like a Power Rangers' nemesis. Suits them.

The VS one looks like some sort of purple cockroach though (but in a good way), can't wait to stomp all over it with the TR one

As for the big protrusions on the TR MAX's back -- it's the same as the big glowing sections on the NC and VS shoulders, only with more prominent shielding.

It's pretty clear it's either an exhaust for the power source, or a heatsink for same.

I like the female light assaults shown, and eagerly await some more armor types. I do have to say, however, that the NC helmet is clearly the most flattering for the female face. The TR's rounded edges accentuate the chest better, though.

Also, I'm in love with the NC MAX. I'm pretty sure that's a sawed-off PS1 Vanguard cannon on his right arm.

I'm in agreement with this... for the VS I would just enlarge the main frame slightly to catch up with the boots, shoulders and guns. I will be playing a lot of VS MAX either way.

The shoulder pads for the VS seem a little odd, just chunky slabs of metal. I think this suit needs to look a little less power rangers.

TR and especially NC suits are incredible!

wow!

the progress on the max design is awesome! now i think all three maxes look great! the vs max looked very stupid from concept art to the work in progress tweets(with that silly oversized elven wings), but the final product looks good! it´s great to see how the things evolve!

the art team is really worth their water! as every team working on ps2.
thanks for showing off so much of the progress! other games never release most of the early design stuff, but you got the balls to show us things from the beginning! even things that were totally redesigned several times! thank you very much!

As long as they don't have ridiculous self regenerating shields, the ability to fly, really strong weapons, and a shit ton of health, I don't think you'll have to worry about that~
