Just got back from seeing M. Night Shamalan's The Village, and I must say, I enjoyed it.
Now, to start, this movie is not for you gore fans who want scare after scare. It was more of an intelligent man's scary movie (which rules out most of PSU (j/k)). It was well developed and it did have it's scary moments. My only problem with the movie was that they gave hints that gave the movie away (at least to me) at a little later than half-way through the movie. "Three thumbs up!" - Diviant

1st Half made me want to carve out Shyamalan's eyes because of the HORRENDOUS dialogue. Even for the period. It was fantastically horrible.
Then they introduce the thingamadoods, and it got somewhat interesting. Went back to the lame lame lame pennsylvanian stuff. Huge plot twist I didnt really see coming. which involves the crazy dude. 2nd half was actually passably good. With the actual confrontation of the thingamadoos, and with Shyamalan fscking with the audience, as he has a habit of doing. Ending, however, made me cry. Saw it from halfway into the flick. THANKS A LOT, IMDB FORUMS.

Those of you anticipating it:
www.rottentomatoes.com Check out the village's Freshness rating. 8/10 reviews are negative. And rightly so.
