win 7 (?) shortcuts interfering after alt-tab

Just installed the game after a full win 7 re-install and all runs smooth untill i alt-tab out of the game and back in again. some shortcuts are interfering with the keybinds in-game. like F pops up the search window. same issue with other keys like E,R and T. it tabs me out of the game and opens the window they are bound to.
So, is there anyway i can disable this or bypass it?

Can you just bind those keys to the function ones?

It sounds like the windows key is stuck on for some reason.
