It is an ok thing, as long as this thing does not go as far as to say, not let the people that got beta keys into the game, if it is only like a 3 day thing were only PS1 players can go in then i am fine with it. But if there going to do this weeks before its not ok.

Yeah, oh, I honestly don't mind to be honest. I think it's a good idea, even.

I do however find it interesting that it has been kept secret!

If anything, it just confirms that the Beta is very, very soon for the rest of us.

I'd definitely be up for this as well. I usually create a friends guild/clan/outfit in most online games for me and my friends to hang out it. I wouldn't mind doing something a bit more serious for PS2.

This is interesting indeed, and I'm not against it, not by any means at all. It's a good thing and should be done more often. Sometimes developers just go with what they "believe" is fun instead of asking the future players of their game. Although we've been proven time and time again that SOE with PS2 aren't like that at all. It's good though, nonetheless!

I also wonder if any Planetside 1 outfits were contacted about this early beta. I know that the ArchAngels were a PS1 outfit but they left the game a long time ago.

I'm not sure it's actually started yet... A player called ConWolv from a blog called "Relentless Gamers" has apparently been invited (he deleted his post on his blog about it but it's still there if you search and he has 6 posts on the PS2 official forums despite the rest of us not being able to view them) however he says he spent last weekend playing the Guild Wars 2 beta. If you were selected from the Interwebs to take part in an elite, first-look beta, wouldn't you be playing it if you had the chance???
