If the light, medium, and heavy pistol variants comment is correct then I like it. It's silly and huge. I'm sure that what ever power it gains from being silly and huge are off put by downsides such as recoil, rate of fire, and accuracy. I wouldn't be surprised if the NC heavy pistol looked like a Warhammer 40k Bolt pistol. In fact I would encourage it. Just as long as VS got 40k Plasma pistols.

No, these are entirely different gun models with entirely different shapes. No amount of weird perspective or cutting and pasting in photoshop will make a glock look like a howitzer.

Given we see the old repeater and the new in the same picture (great catch LostAlgorithm!), looks like we have some reasonable evidence that there are pistol variants as there are rifle variants.

I do hope one of the TR pistols is like RoboCop's pistol though. I remember a dev comment at some point about the repeater having a burst-fire mode, not sure exactly where. It certainly fits.
