Smokejumper told us in IRC that he didn't care if we said we were in beta or not. I don't quite understand why the others have been so quiet but I've made it public knowledge that I was one of the 50 selected.

I will respect the others and not name names.. but I can assure you that a signifigant number of the 50 were names you would recognise from the PlanetSide community.

It's great that you are so forthcoming about your invovlement. I don't know the exact reason for people being hush-hush about taking part in the beta, but I can tell you, if I were taking part in the beta, I might want to avoid people messaging me, emailing me, and PM'ing me trying to get me to give them some info and swearing they won't tell a sole.

With only 50 people getting in, I wouldn't be surprised if only 15 or so of those are actually playing. For example, in one beta MMORPG I'm in or was in, they added approximately 8000 people in a week, on top of a population that was already at least 1000 strong. Yet they only hovered around 800 people online at any one time.
