Planetside Next being a triple A game it makes no sense why they would need to wait for a release on a structure designed for indie games. If by any means they happen to be using UE3, it will be a full paid license of it which means they wouldn't have to wait for Epic Games to beef it up for Dx11 standards considering they would have the source code to the actual game engine, and would be able to make any imaginable change on there own. |

Having DX11 support for Planetside would be pretty useless I think. Most new cards dont get very good FPS at high settings in most single player FPS games at the moment (DX11) let alone in a game like Planetside with the huge battles and shit blowing up in your face everywhere you look
It could be they see it as a future proof thing, but I don't really think its a viable reason to delay the game for :P It's probably just some 3rd party software like Streambase or Havok or something. |

I'm happy I hope you guys are able to make the best game you can, Planetside Next has the potential to be massive! Just remember to start the PR hype machine for strangers to the series as well, Planetside needs fresh blood to keep chugging! |
