The 40K MMO appears to be none FPS and level based. And therefore, in my eyes at least, lame.

Yes. No. Both. Space Marine is due out soon, and the 40K MMO is *NOT* Dawn of War. It's completely separate and focuses on the Black Templars chapter. I've seen some gameplay footage and screenshots.

It's an MMO-RPG. There is a targeting reticule and it's third-person POV from all the screenshots I've seen. Which isn't to say that there's no scrolling in to first person POV. There is button-mashing and hot-bar abilities.

Well, Dark Millennium is pretty much already guaranteed to give you this and why would PS2 want to overlap them in that respect?

Granted its due some time in the far future and PS2 is allegedly due just next month so hopefully it doesn't have to truly compete with it.

Well does give you that feeling. You have to be pro to rise above all the Imperial Guardsmen though.
