Can some computers have more than 2 slots for ram? can they have like 3 or 4.

whats the difference between an AMD proccesor, Athalon, Pentium? are they any better than eachother?

Most motherboards now have 4 slots for RAM.

I don't know a whole lot about AMD processors. I think AMD's are better for overclocking, and I know they're cheaper. But I have never bought anything besides Intel.

Amd's are cheaper and have one every year in head to head gaming comps. They are also harder and trickier. If I were you, I'd order from somewhere like monarch, and just pay them the extra money to build it for you.

AMD makes the athlon, celeron, and xp processors

Intel makes pentiums.

Intel uses brute force and power to get places, amd uses more cycles and better design.

Close.
AMD makes the Athlons, XP-Athlons, and "Durons'"
Intel makes the Pentiums and Celerons

Hands down, Intel chips.

I know of too many incompatabilites between high end sound equipment and AMD chipsets.

Great overclocked systems for both pentiums and athlons.

Hell no athlons aren't crap. Athlons and Pentiums are both very great processors. What mainly influences a choice between the two is the person's preference for either company.

AMD > intel.

AMD is way cheaper and is all about performance. Intel just pushes the big numbers to try to get people to buy them.
