In PS2 its pretty much robo's story for me - starting to play medic and I got confused and kept on unloading pistol rounds into my injured squad mates.
A lot of the stories here are about killing friendlies, entire Sunderers or Galaxys worth... I can beat that, I can beat that by quite a margin... PS1, 2005, Searhus, South Warpgate. The Vanu Round Table, an alliance of several VS outfits on Emerald organise a massive Gal drop, moving out with 8 full Galaxys with escorts towards Rehua, a base currently in the hands of the TR as they were just capturing the continent. We arrive over the drop zone and our troops rain from the skies - my Vindicators, the first over the drop zone spot an enemy AMS in the courtyard of the Biolab and as a CR5 I decide to drop an orbital strike onto it as I fall. I slap down the waypoint and the counter ticks down. I've missed the target. The beam is right on the roof of the facility. Right where 80 VS are about to land. I got a lot of hate tells. And several of thanks from the defending TR. |

Like others here I have had a number or embarrassing moments involving the killing of friendlies or attempts at killing enemies with repair tools in hand. But my most embarrassing moment involves none of that.
I spent several days working on a camouflage pattern with an additional day spent on color variations to get it just right. I then set it aside and came back a week later for a fresh look. Only a couple of hours were needed for final tweaks. Finally satisfied, I submitted the camouflage pattern via player studio. It was accepted and I couldn't wait to perfectly blend into the fields of Auraxis. Untold weeks pass and finally, I see it is released. Hurriedly I log on to my NC character in anticipation. My masterpiece has been utterly destroyed. It's completely blue. "Perhaps", I think, "its an error." Nope, my TR character reveals it as red. I don"t bother checking VS. I am completely embarrassed that my name is associated with the "camouflage". My friends, who had seen the original and had been looking forward to buying it saved their money instead. As well, the subject of my camouflage quickly died as I think we were all a bit embarrassed by what SOE did. Time has yet to fix my shame either. I am embarrassed anew on sight of my Mona Lisa in blue. Last edited by Ohaunlaim; 2013-12-30 at 10:48 PM. Reason: spelling |

I pulled a Galaxy for my squad during a platoon Galaxy drop. Our pilot parks it out of the way; after the cap I go to retrieve it. Gosh, that's gonna be a hike, so I pull a Flash to drive there.
Hey, where's the Gal go? It was on the map just a minute ago... |
