Decals not furturistic?

I've been looking at all the psots about decasl lately and have run across pictures of them. I've notcied htat they all look like their from stupid Diablo 2 or something. They all have a medievil(sp?) feel to them. IMO< they should look more futurisitic, no like somethingathat a knight should be hodlign a flag of.

What do you guys think?

Some are futuristic. But your right, most are old. But when you get down to it, the old grim reaper thing is just cool

i think it looks kind of the old nose art from WW2 bombers, and thats just classic

I agree, I'm Air force and most of our mascots are very old.
My last squadrons mascot is from WW2. It's not flashy but theirs history behind it, just think of the Screaming Eagles 200 years from now.

Go look up the 3rd Squadrons Emblem, its a Puegot (spelling?)

And comes from like when the Squadron first formed up, YEARS ago, its French... a Dragon looking thing.

i wondered that too. Everything was all futuristic in the game then i went to myplanetside and saw several decals with like a skull and sceptors and that stuff. I was like wtf is goin on here!!

I dig the retro decals - it's very reminiscent of what you'd see in WW1/2 or even on flags flying in battle back when, you know, flags flew in battle.

I dig the decals, I just wish they where bigger. I was hoping it would cover a large part of my vehicles and make them look mean, as it stands now, you can't really see the decals unless you are looking ofr them. Oh well.

I was really dissapointed when i got the decal selection screen when my outfit hit 10k back in beta.... but i just thought they were going to put more in during retail...but nope.

When my outfit hit 10k again I pulled up the screen and it was the same ole decals (poodle included).

So many cool looking things in this game and they skimped on the decal artwork.
