Would This Computer Run Planetside Good?


Pentium 4 Hyper-Threading @ 3.5GHz
ATI Radeon 9800 XT 256MB
Dual-Channel DDR 1GBRAM (500MHz)
500GB 7200RPM/ 8MB Buffer Hard Drive
56K internet(this will kill everything)

I was just wondering. Its running on XP

That should run it. for sure. And cable modems can be cheaper than 56k modems. so you can get one.

yeah, all that power and it'll be bottlenecked right at the modem. I take it you live way out in the boonies?

Ait just becasue you can get a cable modem doen't mean you can use it ait, they work differently

yea your huge bottleneck would be 56k. Just because you can get the modem doesnt mean you can use it. You need to have a DSL or cable line or OC-25 or T1 or T3. jeez.

nah definately go for the OC-192. I think its around 9.8 gbits/s if I remember correctly.
