Thursday, January 22, 2004, 10:00 PM EST. Place will be announced in-game (to prevent people raining on our parade), and may be at a warpgate which is linked to Sanc, or may not. Either way, it WON'T start in sanc. Watch Global chat for Vertago's Globals on that Date and time.
Rules:
ANT Races will start at the edge of a not mentioned WarpGate, which could be a Sanc Warpgate, or a non-linked Sanc Warpgate. No ANT may leave the bubble or he is disqualified until the race starts. I should not see the white 'effect' on the bubble, or I will find out who it is, and you are disqualified if I still see the white 'effect' around the bubble when I say go.
When you start, you may start as close to the Warpgate Edge as you want, in any direction (heck, you can even face the wrong direction, if you want).
Vertago will be our announcer. If you have any questions, do not direct them to him. Direct them to TheRealCyber.
There will be a 5-10 minute delay for me to register you. Before I forget, I will require all ANT Drivers participating in the races to stand on their ANTs, and I will tell them when they are registered, and they may enter their vehicle. Remember, if you do not register, you cannot win (prevents entries after the race).
There will be multiple 'waypoints' to get to. I will mention one at a time, and I will not mention the next one in Global or Continent chat (through my CR5 Buddy, Vertago). I will be continously reporting the next waypoint by means of local (which means you have to get close in order to find out the next waypoint). I (might) assign people to do this task. Let me know if you want to help. There won't be any more than 3 Waypoints and 1 Finish Line.
Weapons and Bumping is free. Do whatever it takes to get to the objectives, and the finish line.
The Waypoints may or may not be bases, towers, or in the middle of nowhere. Don't count on a scouting party to come looking for me.
The Finish Line will be the first one to run me over at the final finish line. (I'm serious)
We will not stop the game because of obstacles and other problems (TR/NC hacking bases, etc). If you are destroyed, you may get another ANT, but remember that wastes time. ENG Rifles are allowed. You may run over anyone repairing their ANT, but remember about the grief system.
You may not use Lodestars or Galaxies in this race. If I see one, I will disqualify anyone inside. Please do not bring them.
You may not switch vehicles in order to gain a tactical advantage. (aka getting a Mosquito). I will have 'agents' watching the vehicle terms. (please email me if you want to help with this).
You MUST cross the finish line in a ANT, and you MUST kill me in order to finish the race, so if I don't die from being run over, you must try again. I won't avoid you. If someone else runs me over, he/she will be declared the winner. Remember, I don't move, and to avoid the big armor bug, I will be in Normal Armor, with just a gun (to defend myself against NMEs).
You may bring escorts and a pit crew. You may /tell me the credits of your victory and it will be globaled.
Again, to prevent idiots, I am not going to announce WHERE this is going to take place. This will be announced at a random time before the races where it is going to start. If you want to interuppt us, that's fine, but remember, I said these people can bring escorts.
Job Needs
Agents - Watching the Vehicle Terms to prevent people from cheating. Basically, you will send me a /tell of the name of anyone who gets anything other than a ANT at your assigned vehicle terminal. [Unknown Maximum Units]
Waypoint Announcers - I will assign you a waypoint. You will need a Mosquito. I will tell you the next waypoint when I see people getting close. [Maximum 3 Units]
Obstaclers - CE, (AMS or AH) Required. (NC or TR Required). Basically these people deploy shit in the way of the ANT Racers. You can deploy all you like in the designated area. (Maximum 20 Units)
Skirmishers - Any Vehicle Required. (NC or TR Required) [Advanced Hacking Optional]. Basically, you attack the line. I'm not expecting you to take out anyone, just to make things interesting and give escorts a job. You will come up and try to take out any ANT you can. You can attack escorts if you wish. NOTE: If you have a Multi-Person Vehicle [Prowler, Vanguard, etc], then you will need to have a team. A Team counts as one unit, but a unit can be no bigger than whatever is required for the vehicle. (aka you can't have 4 people in a unit for a Vanguard) [Maximum 20 Units]
Photographers - Mosquito Required. (VS Required) Picture Takers. [Maximum 4 Units]

- Include the in-game name of all of your team, and what vehicle you intend to use. Also, please include their email addresses so I can confirm with them.
- I will only accept one email per unit. If another person sends me a email in the same unit, I will count that as a second unit, with that player being the unit leader, and he/she cannot use the team that the first emailer has. This can be corrected, but please do not double-email me.
General Rules for Emailing Me
I don't check my email every 5 seconds. Wait for response for 48 hours before suspecting something.
I cannot guarantee that you will or will not get a job you asked for. You CAN sign up for multiple jobs (if you wish), but make sure you choose your first choice followed by your second choice, etc.
