Check out reddit.com/r/buildapc, they have guides and everything. It's usually cheaper to build your own. Here's an example for the same price, but much better.

Then again it doesn't come with a keyboard, speakers, or mouse, but I'm sure you have some lying around somewhere.

No offense, but we have a good group here capable of doing custom builds for people on the forum if needed. Doing pre done custom builds like that isn't always the best way to go either. Such as people reusing old parts, they need specific kinds of parts not offered in the pre made, and if they actually need a OS. I already don't like that one you linked, since it uses the 2500K from MC. Makes no sense as not everyone is near there.

To answer your question: Yes, that PC will run PS2 on medium, possibly high settings.

Well i did some research on building computers but i'm not a pro... so idk if i will seriously mess up my build. My plan was to buy a pre-built computer then make upgrades to it, so i gain some experience with computer hardware and eventually scarping it to build my own. I was looking a fixer upper, not super low-end or trashy but not a super computer, so i can do upgrades... Will this computer be fine? O also i wanted to make sure i can play most recent games on this PC so i can play games on it even before i upgrade it?

Well i may build a PC so im picking out my components for the PC and i decided on the i5-2500k its a good processor and it doesn't destroy my wallet like the i7 but i don't know what motherboard to choose for it?

I'd go with the Intel version of that PC simply because AMD's FX architecture is quite a bit of a flop and you'll be wanting to upgrade it sooner than you think.

But yeah, this kind of a computer is perfect for that plan. Maybe the next entirely new PC you buy after this, you'll feel comfortable enough putting stuff together to build it completely on your own.

I'd ask what you plan to do with your computer. Do you need SLI/Crossfire? Are you an enthusiast overclocker? Is the UEFI quality an issue? ATX case or mATX?

Also, did you consider the i5 3570k?

Funny you linked that. I planned to get the pro3 gen3 (as opposed to the extreme3) in an earlier plan of my future build.

If you're thinking of sticking this combo into the computer you have in the other thread, don't bother, iBuypower already has that exact CPU in a different version of that PC (that I linked in my last post there). It's an extra $100, but a better bundle than you buying your own CPU and mobo right after you bought the rig. Put the $150 you save now into your savings, and once you get to the $400 level, buy yourself your first upgrade, a GTX 670.

Buying a prebuilt with the express purpose of putting new stuff in it is all kinds of dumb: installing a graphics card is all the difficulty level of putting the rest of it together, really. Why not just build what you want for the get go?

Also, why not just keep this all in your original thread?

You don't buy a "fixer upper" if you want to be in any way smart about how you spend your money.

Get the good stuff first time around, read some directions. It's super easy. I did it before I was done with elementary school.
