Long time PS player, new to forum

Just putting an introduction on the forum. I've been playing planetside since late beta early launch on and off. I was Redpuke of the TR, DGSJ11 of the VS, and when they started allowing 3 empire toons I made Faramap of the NC but seldom played it. I'm hoping to Roll out an outfit in PS2 with some very good veteran players that I have been with for a while. I will be playing VS and I will be Faramap.

I look forward to seeing some of the old vets if they do come back. Hopefully Aenadori, BrawlingKelt, Drevil666, ElectricVenom, and a few others.

Outfits I was in TR: Pwners, (briefly)Outcasters, and I liked the Wolverines and BWC. VS: Band of bros, Orbital Strike. NC: I think I did blue lions by mistake lol.

Welcome to the forum! I never expected to see so many players who played in the original PS beta. Was that open beta for anyone to jump in at one point?

I'm not sure but what I experienced was the jackson server. it was set up for internet cafe's in the US to use for a 3 week period to get interest on the game. They had the cafe's divided into 3 parts and each week you would be a different faction. Week 2 we were VS. I topped the leaderboard as the highest killer.

Funny thing happened, my local cafe held a PS lan party and since all other cafe's closed they capped all of auraxis way back when. I was kinda sad after the bending.

SOE let people keep their toons when they closed down Jackson so that was cool. But I was only able to play for stretches at a time after that.
