Your network connection is decisive.

With 128 kbps upload u can host an 8-Slots Teamspeak(codec gsm14,8) and play CS or BF without probs, but not more than 8.

Best is u or your clan rent an dedcated TS2.0 Server like my clan or someone can host a Server who has a big connection.

We've run a server on someone's cable before. However if you need large amounts of people (say > 15 or so) then it's time to look else where (unless the line isn't used at all).

Actually found I can upgrade my cable to 256 upload for a smidgen more per month. I imagine that could at least support 1 squad with room to spare.

I'll have to look into server rentals though.

At 12.8KB/s up, you can expect to host 3-4 clients well without any troubles. After that, here comes the lag.
