I love your articles. Very well written. These planetside 2 tournaments kind of show that money does not have to exchange hands for their to be a hyper competitive environment. That glory and some small amount of fame will do well enough to entice our players to compete. That competition is in itself a great reward.

First let me say that I love these community-driven events. So far, on Waterson, our community events have far-surpassed anything SOE has given us. Just give us the ultimate sandbox of destruction and let us use our imaginations. Your playdates suck SOE. We don't even like that kid next door and his toys are lame.

Secondly let me say this is an excellent analysis. Anybody that wants to really play competitively better pay attention. TIW is a fine outfit, and definitely one of the toughest we have gone against on Waterson NC. FC however, is a finely-oiled man, with a rainbow-of-death, ready for your anus. They are all fine pilots and infantrymen and have been playing together for a long time...

If you'll indulge me in a cool story. We used to love to do genholds in PS1 on Markov. We had some legendary holds that lasted hours. Sometimes we'd start telling command chat about what was going on, and sometimes people listened. I remember one particular biolab genhold where at least a platoon of enemies was trying to get in from the outside. We were holding with one squad, when FC flew in and farmed the shit out of the whole enemy platoon as they tried to push into the gen room. I can still hear the TS channel laughter from that hold hahaha....
