My understanding is that the whole First Platoon thing was something simply for that special forum SOE created to have discussions. First Platoon does not have any higher priority than we do in techtest/beta.

No, there are inviting people with certain hardware specs. If those people are first platoon or not, it does not matter.

To think that a little more than a year ago, I'd be googling "MMOFPS" in hopes to find some indie dev with plans to make a planetside-like game. I had no hope....

...Now we are about to get into something even better. The sequel to the original.

So, can anyone speculate if the NDA is going to allow people to say whether or not they got a tech test/beta invite? You see, it's the anticipation that is killing me. I would rather know that I din't get in yet than sit here F5-ing my inbox all day.

If you don't get one by the end of the day, you're most likely not in the first wave. Keep in mind the first invites are very small and they will be working their way up from there.
