Alpha Squad type purchase available?

I've some friends that are getting into the game and I remember seeing something about an alpha squad type package being on sale at some point? I can't remember where I saw it, but does anyone know any info on this?

They want to get into the game more, but they're holding off on buying station cash and boosts because they're not the type that will get to make the most out of 7-days of boost, but something that is longer(6 months) they'd gladly buy because the pressure to play everyday isn't there.

Alpha Squad will never be available.

Best bet, tell them to Sub up and or Buy a Station cash card. Upfront Multi-month is nearly Equivalent to the Alpha Squad boost.

Think of Alpha Squad as a 'pre-order' ... Exclusive stuff you wont be able to get again. So sorry it wont be available again.

If they get the 1500smedbucks card with the NS11 you in essence get 2200SC worth (NS11 being 700SC normally)

For membership, the 6month month sub is only $11 a month but you get 500smedbucks a month bringing it down to $6 a month and now with the passive 48certs a day in ~21 days you will have gained 1000certs to buy a $7 gun... So in a far fetched idea.. SOE pays you $1 to sub to their game! If you include the 50% exp boost which is like buying those 7 day boosts constantly you save even more (If you bought 7day boosts for 6 months you will spend roughly 13,035 smedbucks which is a $130 value!!) Ofcourse upto your friends as the 6month sub is about $71 upfront but membership is pretty good when you break it down. Plus if they hopefully throw in the PS1 sub thats been rumored by Smedly you save that $15 fee aswell (til the game goes F2P)

Was sad they pulled a bait and switch on the camos. The ones being offered look cool, the TR one is the only good one now.

Tell your friends to just buy Wal-Mart SC cards during triple sales. The Alpha Squad thing was a one time pre-order type deal that really shouldn't be offered again unless they want to piss off all the people that bought it. They have multi-month premium sub deals that also reward 500 SC a month. They actually just strengthened the amount of passive certs you earn too.

Yeah, funny stuff, asked T.Ray about that like a months or so ago

Apparently people complained that they war far too reflective and shiny

I have never seen anyone complain about them, but there's that. I didn't buy it, but I'm sure a number of people we're probably pissed off.
