how to use base AA turrets?

I am pretty sure the answer to this question is really obvious but I have't stumbled across a way to use the base AA turrets?

I think I've been too busy just trying to work out how to get "upstairs" in most bases

seems those AA guns require a f*ck-TON of lead for any sort of distance shots...for that matter, seems most of the weps in game do. I was sort of hoping for more flak effect than seems to be present..at least with the AA mounts.

A good top is to shoot in bursts. The Base turrets have a heating mech. And if you over heat it it will take longer time to cool down then if you just let the heat bar to up to 50%

These turrets turn so slow, are weak, and die so fast, that I would rather just pull a max.

I'm quite liking the AA turrets; possible to pull off some good long range bursts once you get the hang of leading your shots and allowing for ballistic drop.

Good info about overheating; didn't know that.

I've seen enemy turrets on our towers. Is hacking implemented yet?

There's a bit of a grey area, here.

I was in a turret 15 minutes ago, and a VS enemy hopped into an adjacent turret and proceeded to blow me to bits! I had captured A from VS (single cap point) maybe 15 minutes previously, and the area was NC on the map, but the 3 horizontal coloured bars to the bottom left of the screen still showed some purple VS influence.

I respawned, and hung around A until the NC blue bar was complete (and I got the 500 reward). The bars disappeared.

I'm assuming that this means that the base is totally secure and that the enemy now cannot use the turrets?

Yes, but for Turrets and equipment/Vehicle terminals only. Not Vehicles yet.
