Will ATi Radeon Cards ever be able to run in Horizontal Span mode?

^^ -- Will they?

Ok then, if No, a follow up question, when will Nvidia release their first Direct X 9.0 card?

And another question, is there any Matrox cards that run 3 monitors good enough so you can play games with it? Are they going to release more 3 monitor cards?

The Nvidia FX Range are fully Direct X 9 Compatible, only the newer ones though (5700, 5900, 5900XT and 5950)

The myth of them being not Direct X 9 compatible came from when they first released the FX range.
Basically, Nvidia chose not to follow the Direct X 9 API so that they could get the FX line out early, and in turn, shot themselves in the foot.

You can customize the resolution as you please in one of the files in the PLanetSide folder, so that aint a problem.

Haven't heard ANYTHING from ATI about their blatant lack of any cards that support horizontal span.

Toms Hardware has a damn good guide out. I think it's still on their front page.
