Not me. PlanetSide remains one of my favorite games of all time. So many hours of fun were had organizing squads and distributing organized ownage.

It hasn't been done since.. here's to hoping it can be done again without some of the trademark crap that has appeared in recent gaming.

Anyways, as for the news itself, I guess it confirms SOE is actually working on something. Let's just hope it's what we want.

If that's a real screenshot of Planetside 2 then it at least takes away one of my fears. That being that they would try to make it a modern shooter instead of keeping the cool Sci-Fi element with MAX suits an such. Since the gun even without any textures looks futuristic as do the hallways sort of.

If its real though it also suggests the game is in very early development. So probably another 2 or 3 years to go ugh.

Maybe by the time it comes out, I may show some interest in it but as of now, I barely have any interest in video games altogether.

It's not even that. My life is so hectic I just don't have much time for games anymore. I did love Planetside back in the day. I think I even played with you a couple of times.

Side questions: Did dragon wolves drop their BC2 server? I went on for the first time since, last week, since early March and the server looked non-existent.

Yea we ended our BFBC2 server, not enough interest combined with not enough traffic wasn't worth paying for it.

Since gaming companies dont allow gamers to have dedicated servers now without paying premiums to hosting companies (see my previous statement

)

And that APB thing pisses me off - I was playing that game and it wasn't the crapstorm people make it out to be. Theres going to be alot of pissed off customers wanting their money back.

I watched a couple video's on APB. It looked neat. What is going on with it now? What is this premium thing you talk about with dedicated servers? How long have I stepped away from the gaming world for?

Sorry guys but that's not it.

That's the Doom 3 engine I believe (or at least the blood texture reminds me of it); and I have definitely seen that screen shot years ago when someone made themselves a little map and gun based on PS.
