So it would not be the first time that a game showed up for pre-order before it was expected I've seen it happen in the past. I'm assuming by "Announce" you guys are expecting it to show on planetside2.com.

Would make sense. DCUO is on Steam, so there is a presence there. I think they'd be remiss to not include Steam in on this game.

I would go out and say Planetside 2 will be 100% on steam. All other SOE games are. Steam reaches soo many people its crazy to leave it off.

EA is stupid. they want people to use their stupid client to buy the game. Its really crazy when you need to have 3-4 different download managers to get it.

Im happy i got Crysis 2 on steam when i could. Its gone now.. Unreal

But without Steam and proper advertising.. This game will see no more than 20,000 people, and that is being super optimistic.

Steam while nice being able to be have all your games right there is not the end all be all when it comes to buying PC games. Even if it isn't on Steam I doubt it will impact sales that much. If people want the game they will buy it.

10 pages of comments in 4 hours. Thats gotta be some sort of PSU record. I think it's safe to say we are excited for this game to come out. lol

I think it's also interesting that despite this obvious excitement, the "sooner or later" poll is overwhelmingly in favor of waiting for a polished game. Sounds like we have people that waited until Christmas morning, not Christmas Eve to open their presents.

This was probably when PS2 was still just a graphics update and not a new game on the forgelight engine. It was probably reasonably accurate at the time but stuff changed and now we get an entire new PS game instead.
