So you have to be paying now to be considered a vet? I'm not considered a vet if i played for years in the past, but haven't played in the last 2 years and not paying for the sub right now? Can anyone confirm?

i believe that it was worded that active subs are on monday garenteed. former vets who are not active, would get in after them, if they signed up for beta. (it might also only have counte din the last year im not sure)

theres alot of good and bad to this, i just cant blame them. they see the outcry for people trying to get in beta, and here they are basically getting the oppertunity to make extra money for virtually nothing (because whos going to install ps1 for 2 days?)

do i like it? idk, i think its smart, i think they would be silyl not to.

however as a vet, as a player since 03, i wouldnt mind being a real vet meaning i got something a bit extra ingame.

@CDLHamma seriously the parsing is amazing. It's simple - active subs > anytime subbed > priority keys > normal signups

This information has been available over a week.

No, you have to be paying to be considered a subscriber. Subscribers are basically paying vets. You are a vet if you ever subscribed and you priority is right after current subscribers.

This just confirms that ps2 should be buy 2 play... Everyone is trying as hard as they can to pay for the game in every way possible before its even out

This. We'd rather not practice patience if we don't have to. Leaving the game itself F2P is what will keep it going strong. It's just... like with many beneficial cash shop transactions, paying money gets you where you want sooner. In this case, pay $15 for a PS1 sub, get into PS2 beta sooner! That's what the latest info tells us anyway.

actually it really is an arguemtn for the f2p

people are PAYING to get something faster then people who have to spend time

the end result is you play the game, if you pay you get it faster, if you dont it takes longer, but in the end both will play

As long as as this doesn't push all the vets out of their promised spots, I'm sort of neutral about it.

It's the constant changing of rules and information that bothers me.

This isn't like early access. I'm assuming all player accounts will be wiped before launch. If somebody wants to cough up some money to get in a week or two before me, hey, it's their money.

I am grateful for this, I am a vet who beta tested both the original and CC and bought at launch but I can no longer recover my original account and while I got a PC Gamer key in 3 weeks I am moving so if I am in week 3 wave I might have a day to play before the chaos.

I was under the impression that your active sub only counted if you subbed before the free time recently up until last night so this is a nice surprise. In any case this is Planetside's last hurrah once Planetside 2 servers hits 24/7 uptime there is very little reason to think many will remain playing PS.

So....let me get this straight. I buy the game on gamefly (even if i have a active priority key), then become a subscriber, which will overwrite my "active priority key" account, and i will be able to get in on monday? Thats it?
