Well with the 10 day trial you already have the full game. But yes, you would need to purchase the full version so that you can obtain a CD key

but you wouldn't need to download it all ? also when i try and load the game this happens " Your machine is set to allow processer speed changing in its power scheme please go to control panel power managment and set it to stay always on while running planetside planetside will now exit " im using windows XP and i go on power options n i cant find an option to do this do i need to go through BIOS?
the only reason i asked if i had the full content is becasue on the station panel there is still the option to order the expansion, is it possiable to just buy the CD key ? :S

I am not positive what happens when the trial ends - but I would assume it wil just let you plug in a CDKey. You should NOT need to redownload the game as you already have it.

The easiest way to fix that power managment thing is to go into your control panel, power options and then set power schemes to "Always On"

Hard to say - www.planetsidestats.info keeps records on activity but I'm not sure how accurate it is.

So that means, once my 10 days of glory are over, I can't just bill direct from credit card, even though I already have the full game? I have to go out and buy something I already have and are already paying for? What a rip.

You are paying for a licensed key, not the game software, just like any other software you download on a trial basis.

Well, I got the software from here: planetside.station.sony.com/download.vm, so it's the full game. What I'm saying is, if I were to pay the monthly server fee, why do I have to go out and buy the same thing?

Because its a trial of the full game. So in order to get the full access and the full game license you must buy a key

People download full software on a trial basis all the time and later have to pay for a license. This is common practice, not something special to PlanetSide.

Since the game costs 19.99$ from Direct2Drive
And it comes with the Game, and a 30 day trial

You can look at it as 12.99$ for the subscription, and 7.00$ for the game.

If that makes any sence.

I don't mean to be rude, I too would like to try Planetside, but it seems all the keys have run out. Can anyone lend me a key for the 10 day trial? I always have been curious about planetside.
